Thirteenth Annual Conference

Applying Competition Law To Shipping in the New Regime

Trinity House
Trinity Square, London EC3N 4DH
United Kingdom

Friday, 19th October 2007

OVERVIEW

This continues to be a time of significant change for the EC competition law regime within which the maritime industry must operate. We have lined up an equally dynamic cast of speakers and range of interesting topics for our Thirteenth Annual Conference. The Conference will explore, in particular, how the industry must operate in the future in order to maintain compliance with the new EC competition law regime. The Commission's draft Guidelines for maritime transport will provide a main focus for debate on the practical implications for the industry and a discussion of the issues which the industry would like the Commission to develop in its preparation of the final Guidelines. The Commission's review of the Consortium Block Exemption Regulation will provide a further important topic for discussion.
